From September 2004 there has been some changes in the organization of COM. These changes concerns the competence areas of Optoelectronics and Glass as well as the Modelling activities.
The process has resulted in the formation of two new competence areas under the titles of Nanophotonics and Fibers & Nonlinear Optics.
The staff and activities that used to constitute the Optoelectronics Competence Area now joins the Nanophotonics area. Within 10 seconds You will automatically be redirected to the web-pages of this new Competence Area.
The Nanophotonics Competence Area is focussing its research on quantum optoelectronics, integrated photonic crystals, quantum dot devices, and ultrafast dynamics.
The Fibers and Non-linear Optics Competence Area is focussing on subjects such as specialty fibers, optical signal processing, biophotonics, and fiber lasers.
