Format of the Summer School

The summer school will be held at the Technical University of Denmark, Building 343, Lyngby, Denmark, from Monday, 20.08.2007 until Friday, 24.08.2007. Details are provided under "Conference Site".

 

All lectures are presented in the auditorium 005 in Building 343 and the Data Bar of COM department in Technical University of Denmark. The five blocks of lectures on the fundamental topics "Basic Principles of time-true simulations and network simulation tools of the Future Generation Internet" are offered over 4.5 days.

 

The format shall guarantee the active reflection of the presented contents and sufficient interaction among the young European attendance of the summer school to achieve the objectives specified in the previous sections.

 

The dissemination of the material of the summer school will use the distribution channels of the action EuroFGI. Handouts/scripts of the lectures will be distributed among the participants and be put on the EuroFGI Web server provided that the lecturers approve the dissemination by Web. The access is restricted and provided only to the participants of the action.

 

The outcome of the summer school comprises:

 

  • the lessions learnt by each participant and the information s/he can provide for the own institution
  • the material of the lectures subject to the agreement of the owner and a written summary on the Web server of EuroFGI

    The latter material can be used by all participants of the action only for their own educational purposes. Use for commercial purposes or any other purposes without an official agreement of the management committee of EuroFGI is prohibited.
